Delhi Police starts 'Police in Pixels' contest for citizens on SMART policing

New Delhi, February 14

The Delhi Police is collaborating with Lalit Kala Akademi to organise a photography contest titled ‘Police in Pixels’.

DCP PRO, Suman Nalwa said, "It is an initiative by the Delhi Police and Lalit Kala Akademi to work towards promoting photography and encouraging people to capture unique and memorable moments of Delhi's Smart Police". 

The contest would invite entries in two different categories i.e Professionals and Amateurs (Beginners). Participants in both categories have to submit their best shots, reflecting various facets of policing. The photographs shall be on a theme ‘-SMART Police’ wherein SMART stands for Strict & Sensitive, Modern & Mobile, Alert & Accountable, Reliable & Responsive and Techno savvy & Trained. 

The contestants can submit their photographs from February 16 and last date of submission will be March 23. 

The officials added that top three photographs of each category will rewarded and winning images will be featured on the social media handles of the Delhi Police and Lalit Kala Akademi. 

The Cash prizes details are - 

1. In Professional category-

1st Winner – Rs 50,000

2nd Winner – Rs 25,000

3rd Winner – Rs 10,000


2. For Beginners -

1st Winner – Rs 10,000

2nd Winner – Rs 5,000

3rd Winner – Rs 2,000.
