Delhi Police arrests dismissed constable of CISF for assault, robbery at his relative's house n East Delhi

Identified as Sandeep, former constable with CISF barged into his relative's house in Mandawali of East Delhi, assaulted mother-son duo

The Delhi Police arrested a former Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable who was dismissed from the force, for allegedly carrying out a theft inside a house and injuring a mother and son in Mandawali.

The police received a PCR call regarding a mother and son being assaulted by a man who entered their house and stole jewellery and a mobile phone.

The victims were identified as Kusumlata Kumari, 32 and her five-year-old son. The duo were admitted to LBS Hospital in serious condition.

The victim's husband filed a complaint with police stating that his distant relative, identified as Sandeep, entered his house, stole jewellery, threatened his wife and son and seriously injured them.

DCP (East) Amrutha Guguloth stated that on basis of technical surveillance and call data record analysis Sandeep was arrested from Burari. The stolen property was also recovered from his possession.

The police have booked the accused under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code, among others.
