Delhi Police arrest three associates Delhi's gangster Neeraj Bawana in extortion and firing incident

The three accused are associates of Delhi's gangster Neeraj Bawana

The Delhi Police's Dwarka district arrested three alleged associates of Neeraj Bawana for allegedly demanding one crore extortion sum from a Delhi based businessman. The accused also reportedly fired at the businessman's shop. 

The accused were identified as Vivek alias Rahul who is also a shooter and alleged involved in a recent murder case. The other two were identified as Himanshu Singh and Ravi Dalala both from Hirankudna in Delhi.

As per the FIR with Jafapur Kalan police station, the incident took place on February 2 when the assailants allegedly shot at the businessman's shop and demandes extortion sum. The victim also tried to get hold of the criminals but they fled from the spot. The victim was again threatened a few hours later on the same day when two men allegedly barged into his shop and assaulted him. 

The men were allegedly carrying a note wth them carrying demand of extortion sum of Rs. one crore. 

The police began investigations and received information on that Vivek was allegedly behind this. The police received tip off that Vivek was reportedly going to arrive with his associates at Nangli Dairy Nala Road in Najafgarh. The police laid a trap and apprehened the accused who has arrived on the said bike. They were also in posession of illegal firearms and ammunition. 

The interrogation of the accused that they had allegedly planned a double murder in New Delhi. 

As per the officials, Vivek is a shooter while two others provided logistical support to him. The accused confessed that they had fired at another businessman's residence in Kajipur village on alleged orders of Sunny Issapur and Naveen Bali. The same weapon was used to fire at this businessman's office too. Naveen Bali is allegedly associated with Bawana and known as his right hand in alleged criminal activities. 

The police recovered two pistols 0.32" with four live cartridges from them alongwith the motorcycle, the officials added.

The accused were arrested under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act.
