Nikki Yadav was wife of Sahil Gehlot and not his live-in partner, Sahil's father, two cousins and friends aided him in murdering Nikki : Delhi Crime Branch

New Delhi, February 18

The Delhi Crime Branch arrestes five of the accused's family in the Nikki Yadav murder case where the girl who was the live-in partner of the accused was killed a d body stuffed in a fridge while the accuses married another girl. 

The prime accused Sahil Gahlot who was held by the Delhi Crime Branch revealed gory details during his interrogation. 

Sahil's family members allegesly aided the murder and it was a pre planned conspiracy to eliminate the girl. 

The police have arrested Sahil's father, cousins Ashish and Naveen and two friends Amar and Lokesh. The accused are currently getting interrogated. Naveen is a constable in Delhi Police. 

After sustained interrogation, he disclosed that the deceased girl Nikki Yadav, was asking him not to marry another girl because both (Sahil and deceased)had already solemnised their marriage in the year 2020; she was actually his wife and not a live in partner. She was hence pleading him not to go ahead with the marriage fixed by his family with another girl on February 10. 

The officials stated that Sahil and his family members hatched the conspiracy and planned to remove the deceased from their way. 

Sahil Gahlot executed the plan and murdered her and informed the other co-accused persons about it on the same day after which all of them went ahead with the marriage ceremony, officials said. 

The police have booked the accused under sections IPC 120 B, 201, 202 and 212 and are further investigating the case.
