A call alerting bomb scare at District Courts Complex sent a tizzy to Chandigarh Police prompting them to launch a massive search operation.
The District Courts Complex is located in n Chandigarh’s Sector 43.
The police said that a caller called Haryana police control room in the morning hours stating that there are explosives in the Chandigarh District court Complex.
The police rushed to the spot along with bomb and dog squad and emergency services.
The police said that judges, advocates, clerical staff and visitors were asked to leave at least 30 courtrooms in the wake of the call.
The authorities are still carrying out a search operation in the complex.
The special teams of riot control team, anti-terrorist squad, district crime cell, crime branch and police forensic team are at the spot conducting a detailed search.
