BSF shoots down drones from Amritsar sector in Punjab

The suspected drones from Pakistan were seen entering Indian territory in Chaharpur village of Amritsar district

New Delhi, November 30

The Border Security Force (BSF) seized a suspected drone entering from Pakistan into Indian territory in the area falling near Chaharpur village in Amritsar (Rural). 

The troops tried to intercept the suspected drone by firing. The bullet hit the drone due to which it fell down on the ground.  The whole area was cordoned and police and concerned sister agencies were informed.

During the initial search, BSF recovered one Hexacopter in partial damaged condition along with suspected item in white colour polythene attached underneath lying in farming field on own side of border fencing near Chaharpur. 

The alert troops of BSF once again were able to capture a drone and foil smuggling attempt, added officials.
